Neoclassical vehicles, reissue of iconic watches, trainers, glasses, cameras, Old School tattoos and a long etcetera of objects and symbols that take us to the time where things were made “to last”.
These new consumers of fetishist taste, are users more than collectors who use their valuable acquisitions and “waste” them. Beyond the performance of the state-of-the-art models, they value more emotional aspects of their purchase. Buying objects based on the original, meaning the primitive, and the evocation of periods that we frequently idealized, is a perfect excuse to acquire them. Being retro becomes an eclectic tribe of romantics and at the same a manifest that we use as sign of identity.
In Long Days we have a clear idea, we know our place and who do we work for. Our boards respect the main codes of Skate and the Longboard that rolled along the Pacific Coast, when the surfers used their spare time when the sea didn’t give them waves to ride. Our hardwood boards take us to Hugh Holland photos, and this group of blond haired kids and teenagers with their skins tanned by the sun of California, who hang from their boards surfing the asphalt of parking lots and concrete waves that they looked for in empty swimming pools.
That pioneering group that either wore hockey helmets and protections, or as a complete opposition, skateboarded barefoot and wearing swimming trunks, marked us with fire. Today, 40 years later, we enjoy bringing back these sensations. That is why, from Long Days, we have widened our brand including eight new models that are still loyal to the first skateboards from the 70’s.
